Data stored on your Mac

Desktop Terrarium stores discovered project names, local project paths, focus minutes, garden themes and progress on your device. License information is stored in macOS Keychain.

Project detection

The app uses running application information, recent-workspace metadata and, when you choose to grant Accessibility access, active editor window titles. It does not read source code, document contents or keystrokes.

Payments and licensing

Dodo Payments processes purchases as merchant of record. The app sends the license key and an anonymous device label to Dodo’s public licensing service for activation, validation and deactivation. Payment details are not handled by Desktop Terrarium.

Network access

The app connects to the licensing service for activation and periodic verification. A successfully verified license can continue offline for up to 14 days.
